As a member of the California Environmental Health Association, I acknowledge and commit to honor to the best of my ability the following values:

That I have an obligation to contribute to the advancement of environmental health as a discipline within the practice of public health protection. I will uphold high standards for the environmental health profession, continually search for ways to improve the delivery of services, support others by sharing my experiences, foster creativity through encouragement, and strive to keep myself fully informed of new developments in the profession.

That I have an obligation to the public, whose trust I hold, and to the industries with which I work. I will endeavor to guard their interests honestly and deal with them fairly, wisely, and in an efficient manner. I will behave honestly in all matters, honor confidential information, respect privileged communication, and deal with others courteously and politely.

That I shall continuously work to raise the standards of health to the highest attainable levels because the enjoyment of health is an inalienable right of every human being without distinction of race, religion, cultural background, economic, or social condition.
