Welcome to the Southwest CEHA Chapter page. Yes, I have finally gotten around to updating the president’s message. I can’t believe how fast the term has gone by and am excited for what is still to come in our chapter’s future. I would like to share with you my goals for our chapter:
1. Increase chapter membership.
2. Get current members more involved in our chapter.
3. Increase members’ knowledge of changes in environmental health.
Environmental Health is truly an unselfish, noble, and exciting profession. CEHA brings people that are passionate about this field together. All of our members are deeply vested in the future of our field. CEHA is dependent on volunteers whose passion helps drive this organization. I encourage everyone to get involved on whatever level they are comfortable at. Change can only happen if people make the effort.
Exciting news for our chapter comes in being fortunate enough to host the 2012 CEHA Update. For those that have been looking for an opportunity to get involved, that opportunity has come. Contact me if you are willing to help in the planning stages or even just on the day of the event.
For the rest of my term I will continue to represent our chapter and the spirit of CEHA to the best of my ability. Thank you to the executive board for all of the support and work they have put in.
